Start by identifying what is being compared: a five-card hand, a stage of a match, or money moving through a session. Each needs its own calculation.
This page explains game formats and rules; it is not a playable lobby. Check the relevant service for current game availability and the exact version in use.

PokerStars describes traditional high-hand rankings: a full house outranks a flush, and a flush outranks a straight. Within the same kind of hand, card ranks settle the comparison. This ranking system is a named reference, not a rule for every poker variant.
With one pair, compare the pair first, then the remaining cards in descending order. Those remaining cards are kickers. A high kicker cannot make a lower pair beat a higher pair.
Consider two hypothetical five-card hands. One is J-J-A-8-4; the other is J-J-K-Q-9. Both have a pair of jacks, so compare their highest remaining card: ace beats king. The first hand ranks higher even though its other spare cards are smaller.
Do not add the card numbers to decide the winner. The comparison stops at the first unequal rank after the pair. This example assumes traditional high-hand rules and uses distinct card combinations; it is not a prediction about a future deal.
Hand rank decides a comparison; it does not by itself tell you the amount returned. For a simple accounting illustration, suppose a session begins with 50 units, has no transfers in or out, and ends with 43. Its net result is a loss of 7 units, even if some individual rounds returned money.
The starting balance is not turnover. Turnover adds all stakes placed during the session, including money reused after a return. Keep opening balance, total stakes and closing balance in separate columns so that a busy session is not mistaken for profit. These units are illustrative, not a Baji88 limit or recommended stake.
No. Under the traditional high-hand comparison, the pair is compared before the kickers.
The pairs match, so the highest remaining card decides: ace outranks king.
No. With no deposits or withdrawals during the session, compare the final balance with the starting balance.
